Building Menu Item Recipes
1. Select the box next the ItemID to select the Menu Item Recipe you would like to create.
2. Choose Add Inventory Item to add your first Inventory Item to the Menu Item Recipe.
*Repeat this step to continue to Add Inventory Items.
Adding Inventory Items to Menu Item Recipe
1. Search for the Inventory Item by typing the name in the Filter box.
2. Select the Inventory Item you wish to add to the Menu Item Recipe.
3. Select OK to add the selected Inventory Item to the Menu Item Recipe
Editing Inventory Item Quantity in Menu Item Recipe
1. Select the Unit of Measure you wish to use from the drop down menu.
2. Enter the Quantity of the selected Inventory Item you wish to add to the Menu Item Recipe.
For this example, the Unit of Measure selected is oz and the Quantity in Recipe is 6.5. To summarize, we are adding 6.5 Ounces of FRIES SPICY REDSTONE 6-6# to the Menu Item Recipe Seasoned Fries.
3. Choose Add Inventory Item to add your next Inventory Item to the Menu Item Recipe.
*You will repeat these steps until the Menu Item Recipe is complete.
Deleting Inventory Item from Menu Item Recipe
1. Select the Menu Item Recipe that needs corrections.
2. Choose the Inventory Item from within the Menu Item Recipe you wish to delete. Once you have select the Inventory Item, hit the Delete button from your keyboard.(This will not work for anyone using the QSROnline Client on an Apple Mac running Virtual Windows because the keyboard functions are different.)
3. The Delete Row window will populate to confirmation the Row Deletion. Select Yes if you would like to delete the selected Inventory Item or select No to cancel.
4. Click Save once you are done.
Adding an Ingredient Recipe to Menu Item Recipe
1. Select Add Ingredient from the bottom of the screen.
2. Choose the Ingredient Recipe you wish to add to the selected Menu Item Recipe. In this example, we will be added Pulled Brisket to the Menu Item Recipe TX Brisket Sandwich.
3. Enter the quantity of the selected Ingredient Recipe that you would like to add to the selected Menu Item Recipe. We will be adding 1 Serving of Pulled Brisket to the Menu Item Recipe TX Brisket Sandwich.
4. Select Add.
Editing/Deleting Ingredient Recipe in a Menu Item Recipe
In order to edit the quantity of an Ingredient Recipe that has been added to a Menu Item Recipe, you must delete the Ingredient Recipe from the Menu Item Recipe.
1. Select the box next the ItemID to select the Menu Item Recipe you would like to edit.
2. Open the + next the the Ingredient Recipe you would like to Edit/Delete. In this example, the Ingredient Recipe in question is Ingredient: Pulled Brisket 1 x Serving.
In order to Edit/Delete an Ingredient Recipe from a Menu Item Recipe, you must select an Inventory Item from within the Ingredient Recipe.
1. Select an Inventory Item from within the Ingredient Recipe you wish to Edit/Delete. You will then hit the Delete key on your keyboard.(This will not work for anyone using the QSROnline Client on an Apple Mac running Virtual Windows because the keyboard functions are different. In this example, we will be removing the Ingredient Recipe Pulled Brisket from the Menu Item Recipe TX Brisket Sandwich by selecting the Inventory Item BEEF BRSKT PULLD W/MRND 2-5# RICH from within the Ingredient Recipe and hitting Delete on the Keyboard.
2. “Remove entire Ingredient?” Pop Up will appear. Select Yes if you would like to remove the entire Ingredient from the selected Menu Item Recipe. Select No if you would like to cancel the deletion.
*Once the Ingredient Recipe is deleted from the selected Menu Item Recipe, you will refer back to Adding an Ingredient Recipe to a Menu Item Recipe to add the correct quantity of the Ingredient Recipe to the selected Menu Item.
Copying from Menu Item Recipe to another Menu Item Recipe
1. Select the box next the ItemID to select the Menu Item Recipe you would like to build. In this example, we will building the Menu Item recipe for Double Classic Burger.
2. Select the Copy from Menu Item button on the bottom of the screen.
3. Choose the Menu Item Recipe you would like to copy. In this example, we are copying the Menu Item Recipe Classic Burger to the Menu Item Double Classic Burger.
4. Select Add.
*Once the recipe has been copied to the selected Menu Item, you can make any necessary adjustments to the Menu Item Recipe.
Menu Recipe Saved
1. Select the Save button on the bottom of the screen once you have completed building the recipe for the selected Menu Item.
2. The Saved Pop Up Window will populate confirming the Menu Recipe Saved.
